ABOUT

Our Mission

Reduce food insecurity within the Midtown and Downtown areas while cultivating community.

History

The Table Spread Food Pantry is a 501c3 non-profit located in the heart of a food desert in midtown Memphis. The Table Spread was started by 2 teenagers in the Memphis Muslim community as a mobile pantry in 2016. Alhamdulillah, since then, we have become the first stand-alone food pantry founded and run by Muslims in Tennessee. We recently surpassed our 3000th food box distributed since opening. We currently feed 35 families per month as well as anyone referred to us by social service agencies and local masjids.

Gratitude For Our Supporters

We extend our sincere appreciation to the following organizations for their invaluable support of The Table Spread.

Sorre Bah

I’m 25 years old and I’ve been involved with Mid-Town Mosque since 2022. While I’ve been a Muslim all my life, this mosque was the first to welcome me with full arms and provide me with an outlet to give back to the community.
